Database Volunteer

Support the CYAC's impact measurement efforts by helping maintain clean, accurate data. This flexible role is ideal for those with an eye for detail and a passion for supporting children and families behind the scenes.

In This Role You Will

  • Input and audit existing data to enhance reporting and outcome measurement
  • Support data collection and reporting processes by maintaining data and database integrity as needed
  • Identify and flag data discrepancies or gaps to the volunteer coordinator
  • Help ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and up to date

What We're Looking For

  • Interested and enthusiastic about proper data collection and reporting to support outcome measurement
  • Entry-level experience working with qualitative or quantitative data
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate maturity, reliability, and punctuality as well as a strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information
  • Sensitivity towards family histories, potential impacts of previous experiences, and cultural differences
  • Desire to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment
Helpful Background Experience with spreadsheets, databases, or basic data tools is an asset. A passion for serving children, youth, and families is equally important.

Commitment Required

  • Project-dependent; typically 1–2 hours per month
  • Flexible scheduling — work can often be completed remotely
  • Orientation and training required prior to starting
